• At 3 years old, recalled to the stallion competition of June, then qualified and called back at the buyers competition of September, he is one of the 5 stallions aged 3 years old approved by the stud Commission at Saint-Lô. Selected for the 1997 acution and bought by the Haras de la Gandière.
• At 4 years old, double clear rounds at the C.I.R of Lion d'Angers, 9 clear runs out of 12, finalist at Fontainebleau.
• At 5 years old, 14 clear runs out of 19, double clear runs at the CIR of Lion d'Angers, finalist at Fontainebleau, 1^st ex-aequo in the 5 years old Criterim, 16.5 points of N.E.P., placed "Excellent" in the Championship, totalling €1,659.56 of earnings. ISO 134
• At 6 years old, with €3,072.15 earnings at 6 years old on only 15 rounds from which 6 victories and 4 placings, Gatsby de Quinhon is 3^rd of its generation before the Fontainebleau 2000 finals. He is naturally qualified for the World Breeding Championships for yound horses at Lanaken. For his qualities in sport, his rare conformation and his top modern origin (Papillon Rouge & Double Espoir), Gatsby de Quinhon is the paragon of the new millenium stallion, being the reason for being chosen to illustrate the cover of the French Sport and Breeding Horse Yearbook 2001.
• At 7 years old, in March he successfully participated in Zwolle International Stallion show jumping competition where he was unfortunately retained due to a 2 months lasting period of foot and mouth disease in Holland. Back to shows in May, he was regularly placed and clear in A4, A3 and A2 classes. He successfully participated in national and international competitions for 7 years old horses: 8^th in the Grand Prix of Saint-Lô, 7^th in class at the CSI of Dinard. • At 5 year old, qualified for Fontainebleau.
• At 6 year old, in Marsh, he successfully participated in Zwolle International Stallion show jumping competition where he was unfortunately retained due to a 2 months lasting period of foot and mouth disease in Holland. Back to shows in May where he performed in the "A" 6 Year Olds classic circuit. Though he missed competitions due to his unexpected stay in Holland, he was clear in the first round of the Lion d'Anger C.I.R. and was regularly clear round and placed in A4 and A3 classes.
